The Immigration Rights Project for Children in Foster Care uses a special immigration law called “Special Immigrant Juvenile Status” (SIJS) to help young people who are in foster care to obtain green cards. In many cases this law will also be able to help even if you have been adopted or have a legal guardian outside of the foster care system.
By helping young immigrants to stay in the U.S. legally, LFC helps you to continue your education and receive financial aid, become eligible for working papers, and embark on a promising future in the country that is your home.
If you have questions about the Immigration Project please call LFC for free from any phone at (800) 244-2540 or email info@lawyersforchildren.org
